When it's game day the last last thing I personally want do is cook something that needs constant attention. I'm the type of gal who likes to smell something delicious cooking throughout the game, but not be stuck manning the station! I'd much rather be watching Manning rock the Broncos nation, and be there when our boys take take home the Super Bowl victory!!
Now, don't be overwhelmed ok? This recipe has the extensive approach of cooking in three steps ;) - Cube your American cheese and cream cheese into 1/2 inch pieces, and shred your cheddar. Toss them into your crockpot. Next take all of your produce, chop it up, and ...toss it as well in the crockpot. Lastly add your spices and, that's right you guessed it, toss them into your crockpot. Turn your dial onto the high heat setting. Do not add the milk just yet, we will mix it in right before serving. Cover and let it cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
This was the perfect time for me to continue packaging my chocolate covered pretzels that I am shipping out tomorrow! This motivated little culinarian stayed up until 5:30am finishing up the last minute details for everything! Did I accidentally put a fork into the microwave, and was then forced to throw out a batch of chocolate because it exploded? Yes, but I am taking this as my karmatic purge for all the excitement that has come into my life through the re-release of my site! I don't think I can ever un-hear that combusting noise now but I will say this, it sure did remind me of when I didn't realize Chef Boyardee had an aluminum seal on it. My sincere apologies to my brother who probably, at the time, had to clean up that epic mess!!
Now that we know each other a little better, and our cheesy, creamy, delight has had time to become the perfect chip hot tub...dig in! It's great for your game day brats, taquito dipping sauce, or even the perfect base for our house dubbed "nasty shot" that you have to take if you end up being the person to knock over our Giant Jenga tower during game day. I have been that person, I never want to be that person again, and to that sorry individual who has to take the next nasty shot concoction!! My sincere apologies in advance, dear friend! To all you lucky LMP fans who don't have to partake in this madness, here's to a Super Bowl 50 Broncos victory, with the perfect queso companion for all those nail biting moments to come!
